The NSW Department of Primary Industries<\/u><\/a> (DPI), part of the Department of Regional NSW, is all about pushing forward research and development in agriculture, fisheries, and forestry. They’re the go-to for keeping things in check with biosecurity, food safety, animal welfare, and they even step in during emergencies and to help with market access. They’re steering towards stronger NSW industries with their 2022-2030 Strategic Plan.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

They asked us to develop a series of e-learning modules that are not only engaging and informative but also adhere to the highest standards of accessibility and educational value.<\/span><\/p><\/div>

We worked hand-in-hand with these guys, employing an iterative approach to ensure the content was both engaging and accurate. This close collaboration allowed for continuous feedback and refinements, ensuring consistency and quality across all modules. We made sure our content creation was dynamic with a custom-made introductory video, providing learners with a clear overview of the topic. To enhance engagement and retention, funky GIFs were used as an appealing alternative to still images.<\/span><\/p><\/div>

We also developed custom graphics to simplify complex concepts, making them more digestible and avoiding the pitfall of dense text blocks. Knowledge checks with informative feedback were integrated within lessons to reinforce learning. Additionally, real-life case studies were employed to further consolidate understanding of the material.<\/span><\/p><\/div>

To top it all off, a cornerstone of our development process was ensuring all content complied with WCAG 2.2 standards, making our modules accessible to a wide audience.<\/span><\/p><\/div>

The result of our collaborative efforts with NSW DPI is a suite of e-learning modules that not only captivate and educate but also ensure a consistent learning experience that is accessible to everyone. We’ve transformed traditional learning into an immersive educational journey through engaging videos, interactive quizzes, and clear, concise graphics.<\/span><\/p><\/div>

Before we even wrapped up the first two modules, the excitement was palpable! We were thrilled to be asked to create four more modules in the same engaging format aimed at training staff for future emergency animal disease responses.
